Tall Ship Festival Tickets on Sale Today

Tickets for this summer’s highly anticipated Tall Ships Festival L.A. went on sale online this morning.

The five-day event is expected to draw tens if not hundreds of thousands to the waterfront for a front row seat to more than a dozen tall ships from around the world sailing in the Port of Los Angeles from August 20-24, including L.A.’s own twin brigantines, the Irving Johnson and Exy Johnson.

There are also a limited number of tickets available to sail on board one of the ships into the port during the Grand Parade of Sail on August 20. They run for $150.

The Port of Los Angeles is one of three ports that will welcome the tall ships on the west coast.

Festival goers will be given the opportunity to tour the replica 18th century wooden ships as well as the USS Iowa and SS Lane Victory.

Tickets range from $7 to enter the festival (children ages 1-4 get in free), to $19 multi-day ship tour passes, to $85 day sails.

Hosted by Draw Events and the Port of Los Angeles, the festival will also feature live music, food trucks, craft beer offerings, vendors, family activities, movies and educational workshops. It will be the first major public event at the port’s nearly $40 million downtown harbor square and promenade which includes a new inlet for ships to dock.
