As the days tick away until Christmas morning, and longtime residents continue celebrate the cities 125th year, San Pedro is gearing up to host the 33rd annual Spirit of San Pedro Holiday Parade.

The parade, hosted by The San Pedro Chamber of Commerce and the San Pedro Historic Waterfront Business Improvement District, will take place on Sunday, and will kick-off the holiday season in San Pedro.

Grand Marshals for this year’s parade will be the 125th Anniversary Living Treasures: Florence Collins, Matty Domancich, Harry Hall, Goldeen Kaloper, and Muriel Olguin.

The Sports Grand Marshal is Eastview Little League and the Youth Grand Marshal is The Boy Scouts of America-San Pedro Packs.

The parade will start at 1 p.m. at 13th Street and Pacific Avenue. It will then travel north to 6th Street and Pacific Avenue, where it will then turn east and conclude at 6th Street and Palos Verdes Street.

From bands, schools and sports teams, clubs and community members, drill teams and non-profit organizations, and of course, Santa Claus, who will arrive on the rubber-tired red PBID trolley accompanied by the POLAH Bear from the Port of Los Angeles High School and his elves.

There will also be several elected officials in the parade, including Congresswoman Janice Hahn, State Senator Roderick Wright,  Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer and Los Angeles City Councilman Joe Buscaino and his family riding in the famous horse-drawn Well Fargo Stagecoach.

Pre-parade entertainment will start at 11:30 a.m. with One Ten South performing on the stage at Ray Deeter’s Tire Town on 11th and Pacific and DJ Matt Beaumont at the 6th Street and Pacific stage.
